The Ink Spots, Vol. I

Really, what can I say about this group that you won't be able to discern for yourself after taking a listen to their incredible body of work. The 'Ink Spots' are one of those rare groups that comes around once a generation, seamlessly bridging the divide between 'rock 'n' roll' and 'race' music to craft a truly unique sound that has been often imitated, but never matched. You could call the 'Ink Spots' the progenitors of rhythm and blues; the combination of their simple song structure, breezy rhythms, and lush vocal harmonizing create a mesmerizing bed of warm, inviting sounds that you just want to curl up in all day.
